The Panda's took part in a Devon festival to celebrate International Women's Day #IWD

The International Women's Netball Festival in Devon marked another memorable outing for our Panda Back to Netball Players and our Strollers. Our Back to Netball team got better and better with every match winning their final two having narrowly missed out on their opening game. This was a great effort for the team who haven't had the chance to practice together before today and their team spirit shone through. Coaches choice from Alec Church for the Panda player of the tournament went to Donna Leopold. Donna happily played in several positions showing great versatility smiling the whole time - what a team spirit and a selfless Panda! The Strollers had an interesting and eye-opening experience as it seems across the border in Devon the definition of walking jumping and mobility is far removed from our rule book! , Under frustrating circumstances, the Strollers played their little hearts out and I can't tell you how proud we are of you all for holding it together despite the war wounds! Our unanimous player of the tournament was Carol 'Qwerkle' Miller who kept cool under pressure taking on various positions for the team! Thanks to Alec Church for driving the mini-bus and to Samantha Church for managing the team. We're now looking forward to planning some of our own Back to Netball friendlies at Lanivet and hosting true walking friendlies this summer.
