Shoots closing the gap

Well what a night for the shoots. Tonight’s agenda was to improve the 3rd quarter , score a few more and breathe!

The first quarter we came out fighting -it was end to end making it 11-10 to St Agnes. The nerves settled and our lovely set plays started to happen. Great feeding into the circle from Jenna and Hayley to find Niki or Claire. We ended the second quarter with a score of 23-21 to us. Then it was a crunch time! Our nemesis that dreaded 3rd quarter. A good team talk and some deep breathing with a minute till we were back on. I lost count how many times I said breath but my word - Quarter 3 was our best! Our shooters were on fire and the interceptions from Flo and Lucy were insane. Every player gave it there all in the 3rd quarter.

Hayley was jumping miles to get some cracking interceptions , dodging and driving forward. She was my well deserved coaches player even though all my girls shone tonight! It’s was neck and neck 36-36. This was a huge achievement for us shoots! Into the final quarter, shooting , defence and centre court were on fire again giving it everything! It was end to end keeping our spectators on their toes. St Agnes best us to the finish line in the last couple of minutes finishing with a score 53-49 to them. Even though we lost, it was a big win for the shoots. We scored 49 which is our personal best!

St.Agnes player of the match went to our one and only Niki

Not once did any shoot give up tonight and I’m proud of you all! Our bench was a huge support tonight giving us crucial feedback and we couldn’t of done it without them!

Thankyou for all your continue support- we love seeing you at the top. We have a few weeks before our home derby against Bodmin! The photos just some up have much fun we are having as a team.
